Situated just ten Kilometres from Fort Portal the caves with “Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru” a lime stone with a story behind its evolution that goes that they were named after the daughter of Bukuku one of the leaders of the Batembuzi Dynasty which is the Bunyoro and Toro Kingdoms of date called Nyinamwiru was a very imperious irresistible girl who denied her father’s will of getting married to the man he had chosen for her. Due to this, she was punished by cutting off her breasts which are believed to have developed into these massive lime stone rocks with a white liquid dripping out believed to be breast milk. At the entrance, you will encounter a pitch of vast waterfalls that indicate the climate of this area then you will follow a small slippery route with ferns, trees and rocks on the sides to the caves.
